Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will provide, at our expense, one roundtrip coach airfare for the attending physician. Dialysis At Sea® Cruises will not provide airfare for the traveling companion. The physician will be responsible for companion airfare.
Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will provide one double occupancy ocean view cabin for the doctor and his/her companion at no charge. Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will only pay for the doctor's port charges. The companion's port charges will be the physician's responsibility. Any additional passengers wanting to sail in the physician's cabin (children/other family members) will be required to purchase their portion of the cruise through Dialysis at Sea Cruises at the prevailing cruise line rates, pending availability.
Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will provide the above described berths and port taxes (physician only). All other incidentals, including transportation to and from the airport, parking, meals during travel, tips, gratuities and other incidentals will be the physician's responsibility.
Charge Nurses
Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will provide the charge nurse with a complimentary inside stateroom cabin that also includes port charges for the particular sailing.
Dialysis at Sea® Cruises will compensate the charge nurse $200.00 towards the cost of air transportation required to get to and from the port.
All other incidentals such as transportation to and from the airport, parking, meals during travel, tips, gratuities and others will be the nurse's responsibility. Traveling companions must book directly through the cruise line.
Nurses and Technicians
Dialysis at Sea Cruises will provide the attending nurses and technicians with a complimentary inside stateroom cabin that also includes port charges for the particular sailing.
Staff positions 1 through 4 are guaranteed to sail. At the minimum, staff position 1 and staff position 2 (charge-nurse, and non charge-nurse) will be working on-board the cruise. If we reach a certain patient load, we will require staff position 3 and/or staff position 4 to work on-board. However, if the patient load remains low, those scheduled in staff position 3 and staff position 4 that are not required to work can still sail at a reduced rate. You will still be sharing an inside cabin with a fellow staff member of the same gender. In the event that we do not have enough patients to require your services at the time you submit a position request for position 3 or for position 4, we will offer you the option to purchase your cabin fare, at a reduced rate, and guarantee your position on-board the ship. It is not required to purchase your cabin fare and if you choose not to, you will be placed on a list and will be contacted if additional staff will be required for the sailing you chose. Please keep in mind that medical staff that exercise the purchase cabin option will be place at the top of the list. If you have purchased your cabin fare and we reach a patient load that requires your services, we will activate your position and refund your purchased cabin fare. The cost of this option is $60 per pay plus port taxes.
All other incidentals such as transportation to and from the airport, parking, meals during travel, tips, gratuities and others will be the nurse's responsibility. Traveling companions must book directly through the cruise line.
